Govt employees under insurance coverage

The government will bring all of its employees under insurance coverage, said Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal today in his budget speech.

"Although there is a group insurance system for government employees, but in reality it is not an insurance," he said.

"With the assistance of Jiban Bima Corporation, the existing system will be reformed and converted into an integrated insurance system," the minister added.
