New schools to be added to MPO list

Necessary funds have been allocated for the enlistment of new schools under MPO (Monthly Pay Order) system this year.

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal informed the parliament while placing his maiden budget of around Tk 523,190 crore at the Jatiya Sangsad this afternoon.

Under the special directive of the prime minister, the fresh MPO enlistment of schools has been undertaken which remained suspended for a long time, the finance minister said.
