BD beat Nepal in opener
Bangladesh made a good start to their 5th South Asian Basketball Championship campaign, beating Nepal in their opening match in Male yesterday.
The Bangladesh team, who went to the Maldives capital on Thursday to take part in the fifth edition of the regional championship, beat Nepal by 76-66 points. Mithun Kumar Biswas was adjudged the best player of the match.
In the other match of the opening day, regional powerhouse India thrashed hosts Maldives by 84-42 points, with Amritpal Singh being adjudged the best player.
