Watch Mushfiqur’s brain-freeze on Day-5

After leading from the front with a fighting century yesterday, Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim defied rational thinking with his ill-judged shot as he threw away his wicket during the first session of day-5 of the Test Match against India at Hyderabad today.

Having struck Ravichandran Ashwin for a four only two balls before, Mushfiqur was hell bent to get on top of the Indian spinner and tried to play the lofted shot once again, considering there was a fielder placed at mid-on.

Ashwin saw Mushfiqur coming, dropped his length slightly short and got it to hold in the air. Mushfiqur wasn't there to the pitch of the ball and still went through with the lofted drive, ended up slicing it in the air and towards mid-off where Ravindra Jadeja didn’t make any mistake.
