Bangladesh has been able to attain real Gross Domestic Products (GDP) growth of 5.2 percent -- highest in Asia.

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said this while placing the budget for 2021-2022 fiscal year.

"In spite of the pandemic, the government of Bangladesh, led by the able leadership of the honourable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has been able to maintain the macroeconomic stability of the economy with prudent fiscal policy and accommodative monetary policy," he said.
