BEPZA announces closure of factories under 8 EPZs till April 14
Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority (BEPZA) has declared closure of all factories under the eight EPZs in the country from April 6 to 14.
BEPZA circulated a notice on its official website in this regard.
"The authorities have taken such decision due to coronavirus outbreak in the country," said Abdus Sobhan, general manager of Dhaka Export Processing Zone, while talking to our Savar correspondent.
Workers were also requested to stay at home during this time, he also said.
When asked if the factories under DEPZ, which are making PPE, will remain closed as well, he said it will be informed later.
