Bank Asia’s profit jumps over 34 per cent
Bank Asia Ltd has posted a 34.28 per cent higher profit in the April-June quarter of 2022.
The private commercial bank reported consolidated earnings per share of Tk 0.94 for April-June against Tk 0.70 in the same quarter a year ago, according to the unaudited financial statements.
The EPS has increased due to the rise in profit after tax, said the bank in a filing on the Dhaka Stock Exchange today.
In the first half of 2022, consolidated EPS stood at Tk 2 against Tk 1.75 during the same period a year ago, an increase of 14.28 per cent year-on-year.
