Bata’s profit jumps 31.37% in H1

Bata Shoe Company (Bangladesh)'s profit jumped 31.37 percent year-on-year to Tk 43.87 crore in the first half of 2023 riding on higher growth of revenue.

The multinational company's earnings per share (EPS) rocketed to Tk 32.07 in the January-June period of 2023, up from Tk 24.41 in the same period of 2022, according to the company's unaudited financial statements.

The company sold products worth Tk 566 crore in the first six months of 2023, up from Tk 528 crore in the same period of 2022.

The well-known shoe maker's profit rose 15 percent year-on-year to Tk 30.24 crore in the second quarter of 2023.

In the April-June quarter of 2023, the company sold goods worth Tk 321 crore up from Tk 313 crore in the same quarter previous year.
