Check hallmark before buying gold: jewellers’ association

The Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (Bajus) has urged the buyers to check the hallmark on gold jewelleries to be confirm about their quality before purchasing those.

The association made the call at a meeting of the Bajus standing committee at Bashundhara City shopping mall in the capital today.

The government should modernise the gold standard testing labs in the country, said MA Wadud Khan, former Bajus president.

"Gold jewellery cannot be sold without hallmark."
