Stocks rose in today's first hour of trading, following losses in the previous four sessions.  

The DSEX, the premier index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, gained 6.31 points or 0.12 percent to 5148.83 as of 11 am. 

Around 196 issues advanced, 78 declined, and 79 remained unchanged, highlighting positive trading momentum. 

Total turnover stood at Tk 89.52 crore. 

Shares of New Line Clothings surged the highest 10 percent, while shares of Midland Bank dropped 4 percent.

CSE All Share Price Index was up 0.11 percent, gaining 17.04 points to 14406.86.
