Dhaka stocks edge up for second consecutive day
Stocks went up in early trading today marking the gain in the second consecutive day.
The DSEX, the premier index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, gained 28.07 points or 0.54 percent to 5,226.91 as of 11:26 am.
Around 299 issues advanced, 36 declined, and 42 remained unchanged, signifying positive investor momentum.
Total turnover stood at Tk 153.64 crore.
Western Marine Shipyard, Shurwid Industries and Phoenix Finance and Investments led the gains, rising around 10 percent, while shares of Fine Foods dropped 5 percent.
CSE All Share Price Index was up 0.20 percent, gaining 29.71 points to 14495.79.
