The government can think of allowing investment of undisclosed money in the productive sector for some time, said Md Jashim Uddin, president of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI).

He made the comment today, as Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal did not say anything about black money in his budget speech on June 3.

Jashim Uddin spoke at a press briefing on the association's reaction on the national budget for 2021-22 fiscal year, at the FBCCI building in Motijheel.

"Our words are clear. If there is undisclosed money, the government can give a chance to invest them in the productive sector for some time. However, it should not be allowed forever."

"People who honestly pay taxes regularly will feel discouraged if the government gives the opportunity to invest undisclosed money for a long time. We did not want the new national budget to have that opportunity," he added.
