Gold prices drop
The gold prices fell by Tk 1,166 per bhori in the domestic market due to price fall in the global market.
From now on, the price of 22-carat gold ornaments (11.664 grams) will be Tk 77,216.
Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) took the decision yesterday to adjust the prices with the international market, it said in a press release.
The new prices are effective from today.
Earlier on July 7, the association reduced the gold prices by Tk 1,166 to Tk 78, 382 per bhori.
The gold prices jumped record high on May 22 when the prices stood at TK 82,464 per bhori.
Meanwhile, the price of silver remained unchanged. The price of hallmarked 22-carat silver ornaments is Tk 1,516 per bhori.
