Local jewellers today reduced gold prices by Tk 2,916 to Tk 79,548 a bhori or 11.664 gram as the prices of the precious metal fell on the global market.

Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (Bajus) took the decision in a meeting today.

The revised prices will be effective from tomorrow, according to a press release of Bajus.

The meeting fixed the price of 21-carat gold at Tk 6,510 per gram, 18-carat at Tk 5,580 and traditional gold at Tk 4,650.
