Jewellers cut gold prices again
The jewellers today cut gold prices by Tk 1,167 a bhori for the domestic market thanks to a drop in the rates of pure gold in the local market.
From tomorrow, the price of each bhori or 11.664 grams of 22-carat gold ornaments will be Tk 97,044, down from Tk 98,211 earlier.
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) took the decision today to adjust gold prices in the local market, it said in a press release.
The prices of gold, the popular metal used mainly for ornaments, have been fluctuating for over a year.
