Price of DAP fertiliser reduced by Tk 9 per kg

The price of non-urea fertiliser, diammonium phosphate (DAP), has been reduced to Tk 16 from Tk 25 per kg.

The decision has been taken to reduce the production cost of the farmers, Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzak said at a press briefing at his ministry office today.

“The government has reduced the price of the DAP fertiliser by Tk 9 at all levels,” he said.

As per the decision, farmers can buy this non-urea fertiliser at Tk 16 instead of Tk 25 while the dealers can buy it at Tk 14 instead of 23, he said.

In 2014, the government fixed the price of the DAP fertiliser Tk 25 for the farmer-level and Tk 23 for the dealer-level.
