Remittances jumped 39% in August

Remittances sent by migrant workers and Bangladeshis living abroad soared nearly 39 percent year-on-year to 2.2 billion in August, the first month of the interim government.

Remittance inflows were $1.6 billion in the same month of the previous year, according to Bangladesh Bank data.
