Sena Kalyan Insurance’s profit declines in April-June quarter
Sena Kalyan Insurance Company Limited reported a 27 per cent year-on-year decline in its profit in the April-June quarter of 2022.
The earnings per share were Tk 0.91 in the quarter against Tk 1.25 in the same period last year, according to its unaudited financial statements.
The EPS decreased due to the increase in the paid-up shares from 2.4 crore to 4 crore, said the insurer in a filing on the Dhaka Stock Exchange today.
In the first half of 2022, the EPS was Tk 1.85, again down 32 per cent from Tk 2.75 registered in the first half of 2021.
Net operating cash flow per share rose to Tk 4.02 from January to June, from Tk 2.84 in the first half of the previous year, thanks to an increase in the gross premium income.
Net asset value per share was Tk 19.22 on June 30 this year and Tk 18.71 on June 30 last year.
