Smart District Innovation Challenge launched for DCs
The government has launched special programme for the deputy commissioners (DCs), under which they will have to submit innovative ideas to build smart district as part of building a smart Bangladesh.
Under the Smart District Innovation Challenge, the providers of most innovative ideas will win Tk 1 crore seed fund to plan and implement smart districts, the Aspire to Innovate (a2i) said in a statement.
The DCs can come up with ideas to provide citizen-friendly services with the help of artificial intelligence and big data analytics in different sectors, including education, healthcare, social security, agriculture, manufacturing, services and administration.
Only DCs can participate in the competition through submitting ideas at a2i's challenge fund website by April 25.
