Stocks fall in morning trade

Stocks on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) extended the losing streak for the tenth consecutive day in early trading today.
The DSEX, the benchmark index of the premier bourse, dropped 37.49 points, or 0.75 percent, to reach 4,935.10 as of 11:26 am.
The Shariah-based DSES index lost 1.29 percent to 1,090.40, while the DS30, which represents blue-chip stocks, declined 0.89 percent to 1,828.56.
Turnover, a key indicator of market activity, stood at Tk 103.67 crore during the session.
Of the 395 issues traded, 85 advanced, 240 declined, and 60 remained unchanged.
Dulamia Cotton Spinning Mills emerged as the day's top gainer, rising over 6 percent, whereas shares of Anlimayarn Dyeing lost 6 percent, the highest fall.
