Walton to start TV exports to South Korea
Walton, a global electronics brand of Bangladesh, will start exporting televisions with the Walton brand logo in South Korea.
Hans Korea, a renowned company of South Korea, will market Walton brand TV in the country's market.
Walton and Hans Korea signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to this end, Walton said in a press release.
Nazrul Islam Sarkar, deputy managing director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, and Han Kijung, chief executive officer of Hans Korea, inked the MoU.
"Expanding the TV export market in South Korea is undoubtedly a huge milestone for Walton. This achievement will play an important role in achieving Walton's vision "Go Global 2030", said Mustafa Nahid Hossain, chief business operation of Walton TV.
"Walton is moving forward with the goal of becoming one of the top global brands in the world. To achieve this goal, efforts are underway to spread Walton's brand business globally. In continuation of this, this time Walton launched TV export operations under Walton Brand Loge in South Korea."
"We are happy to start working with Bangladesh's number one electronics brand in South Korea. We hope to be able to promote the Bangladeshi Walton band in the Korean market and create a strong market for Walton products in this country," said Hans Korea CEO.
Walton is the country's top exporter of refrigerators, TVs, washing machines and other electronic products. The "Made in Bangladesh" tag Walton products are being exported to more than 40 countries around the world.
Among others, Raisa Sigma Hima, director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC; Mostafa Nahid Hossain, chief business officer of Walton TV; Syed Al Imran and Abdur Rauf, vice-presidents of Walton Global Business; Arman Ibn Shahjahann and Humayra Hossain, management representatives; Hong Sungwoo, global planning manager of Hans Korea, and Md Rezaul Islam, deputy manager, were present.
