RANCON Cars Ltd has launched the "Proton X70" in Bangladesh, its first locally assembled X70, marking a new era in the country's automotive industry. 

The launch event took place on April 30 at the Proton Bangladesh Rancon Showroom at Tejgaon, Dhaka.

Starting from today, Proton X70 will be available at Proton Bangladesh's authorised showrooms in Dhaka and Chattogram, also offering a 5-year or 150,000 Km warranty that customers can avail from Rangs Workshop, Tejgaon-Dhaka & SholoShohor - CTG, the only authorised service center for Proton in Bangladesh.

The Proton X70 launch marks a significant milestone as the first Proton X70 vehicle assembled in Bangladesh. All units of the X70 are being produced at the Rancon Auto Industries Limited factory in Bhawanipur, Kashimpur, Gazipur, under the Rancon Industrial Park. This makes the Proton X70 the "Proudly Made in Bangladesh" vehicle to enter the market. This C Segment SUV is available in both Dhaka & CTG showrooms of Proton & also this will be showcased in 18th Dhaka Motor Show (2025.

The Proton X70 is a C-segment compact crossover SUV, offering a distinctive and appealing design. It features Proton's signature "Infinite Weave" grille that creates a robust frontal identity, complemented by Intelligent High Beam Control (IHBC) headlamps, daytime running lamps (DRLs), auto rain-sensing wipers, and a panoramic sunroof for an airy, spacious cabin feel. The SUV also features stylish 19-inch alloy rims and a ground clearance of 200 mm.

This model features a touchscreen infotainment system with voice command ("Hi PROTON"), online navigation, music streaming, weather updates, smartphone connectivity, multiple USB ports, keyless entry, drive mode selection, a 360-degree camera, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Under the hood, the Proton X70 is powered by a 1.5L TGDi turbocharged gasoline direct injection engine. It comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) with manual mode, offering smooth and responsive gear shifts. 

The Proton X70's Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are designed to enhance safety and comfort, especially suited to the unpredictable nature of Bangladeshi roads, where traffic is often unpredictable and driving conditions can be challenging. Features like Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) help in congested traffic, automatically adjusting speed and stopping when needed. Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) are valuable on narrow, busy streets and highways, reducing collision risks from sudden lane changes or overtaking.
