Shahirul Hasan of ERL appointed as new MD of Meghna Petroleum

Md. Shahirul Hasan, General Manager (Finance & Accounts) of Eastern Refinery Limited (ERL), has been appointed as the new Managing Director (Current Charge) of Meghna Petroleum Limited.

The appointment was announced in an official order issued on Sunday by the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC).

According to the order signed by BPC Secretary Shahina Sultana, Md. Shahirul Hasan will serve as the Managing Director of Meghna Petroleum Limited until further notice.

Officials of Meghna Petroleum confirmed that he formally joined the company on Sunday afternoon after being released from his duties at ERL.

BPC officials stated that the appointment comes following the retirement of Md. Tipu Sultan, the former Managing Director of Meghna Petroleum. Hence, Md. Shahirul Hasan has been given the responsibility as acting Managing Director. #
