A Bangladeshi software company won World Summit Award 2016 with an original mobile app that directs commuters and pedestrians to a nearby toilet in Dhaka city.

Software firm Preneur Lab won the award in Delhi from World Summit Award, which recognises app developers from UN member countries, said a press release.

Public toilet may seem like a simple issue but not having access to one in time of need can cause various problems including health hazards, said Arif Nizami, chief executive of Preneur Lab.

Keeping this in mind our company started developing the app that shows the user details about nearby toilets, Arif added.
