What is the best graphics card and power supply to buy in early 2017? Cannot decide whether to go green or red? NVIDIA or AMD? Below are the best GPUs and suitable PSUs for every purpose, including gaming, streaming high-res movies, video and graphics rendering, etc. Also, most of these graphics cards will run seamlessly on less powerful PSUs than recommended, but a little bit of headroom is always safe to have.

Entry level:

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 2GB 

Good for playing games like League of Legends at mid to high settings, you can easily get upwards of 60 FPS at 1080p resolution. The 2GB VRAM will slightly boost photo/video rendering times. Offers a fanless edition for silent computing.

Be sure to grab the better performing 64-bit DDR5 version instead of the DDR3.

If you prefer AMD, the RX 480 is also an extremely capable competitor offering higher VRAM, but is much less power efficient than the the GTX 1060.
