MIT making furniture that comes to life

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has developed TRANSFORM, a shape-shifting interface that can be integrated in our daily lives as interactive, shape changing furniture.

TRANSFORM changes the surface shape on demand or by moving objects around based on the ergonomics, functionality and aesthetic dimensions of furniture, reports Mashable.

For instance, it can hold and move objects like fruits, game tokens, office supplies and tablets. It can also create dividers on demand.

These interfaces not only look cool, but also make your life easier.
