Most Innovative Products of CES 2016
CES 2016 ended on 9th January after an exciting three day long gathering of the biggest tech brands around the world and a number of startups with mind-blowing new products. While there are debates among the best ones out there, the most innovative ones seem to share the same place in every tech-enthusiasts' heart.
Owlet Smart Sock: Unlike wearables that resemble watches and are meant for adults, Owlet wants to save your baby's life with a smart sock. It monitors his/her heart rate, breathing rhythm and oxygen levels to alert parents in time if there are any complications. It costs $250 but that's a small price to pay for all the reduced tension.
Recon Empire EVS: This year paintball gets a whole lot cooler with Recon's safety helmet featuring a heads-up display. Not only can you see where your enemies and friendlies are in the "war zone" but it'll also show your ammo count and other important metrics.
EHang 184: Drones are nothing new but a huge one that can carry a person to their destination, is. The EHang 184 a sci-fi lover's dream come true. It looks like a massive quadcopter and can fly as high as 11,480 feet and for about 23 minutes at a speed of 60 MPH. You'll of course need to learn to pilot it safely but we're hoping an automated system will make it easier for mass consumers.
Ninebot Segway Robot: Intel and Xiaomi partnered together to create a robot that you can ride. If that isn't one of the most interesting news of CES 2016, we don't know what is. It's a self-balancing robot that'll move around by itself, follow you and help you with speech and facial-recognition along with live streaming capabilities. All of this when you're not standing on it, whooshing around the room.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet: What caught our eye about the X1 was the option to upgrade it with separate modules according to our needs. Modules such as "Productivity", "Presenter" or "3D Imaging" adds extra battery life, a projector and a even a 3D scanner.
Hackaball: With taglines like "Teaching kids to code through creative play" and "Throw a computer around", Hackaball was bound to get a place on this list. While this idea isn't entirely new, the thought of throwing a ball around that you can program for a custom game with your buddies certainly makes it one of the coolest toys available.
LG's Rollable Display: LG is the one of the best brands to look out for in the high-end display market. They bring out brilliant new screens each year and this time they blew us away with one that can be rolled up like a newspaper yet retain impressive visuals.
