NSU rockets to stardom in NASA Space Apps Challenge 2023
North South University's (NSU) Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (CSE) has soared to new heights by making a splash in the prestigious NASA SPACE APPS CHALLENGES 2023. This marks a watershed moment for NSU as the challenge is a globally recognised hackathon spearheaded by NASA itself.
The team, aptly named #inception_Last_Hope, not only dominated the Bangladesh leg of the competition but also secured a coveted global nomination from NASA. Adding another feather to NSU's cap, a junior team named Plexus clinched the 2nd Runner-Up position in a separate category, outclassing 210 other teams from universities nationwide.
The awards ceremony, held on October 7th, was graced by the esteemed presence of Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni and James S. Gardiner, the Environment, Science, Technology, and Health Officer of the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka.
NSU has been a consistent player in national and international hackathons over the past few years, continually showcasing its prowess on the global stage.
