10 more districts get new DCs
The government has appointed new deputy commissioners (DCs) in ten more districts in the span of of a few days.
Public Administration Ministry today issued a notification appointing the new DCs in Joypurhat, Gaibandha, Panchagarh, Thakurgaon, Patuakhali, Chandpur, Dinajpur, Meherpur, Kurigram and Sylhet district.
Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Director Atul Sarker was appointed DC in Joypurhat, Post and Telecommunication Minister’s Private Secretary Sebastin Rema in Gaibandha, Medical Education and Family Welfare Division Deputy Secretary (DS) Sabina Yasmin in Panchagarh, Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry DS Kazi Abed Hossain in Thakurgaon, Roads Transport and Highways Division DS Matiul Islam Chowdhury in Patuakhali, Local Government Division (LGD) DS Dr KM Kamruzzaman Selim in Chandpur, LGD DS Md Mahmudul Alam in Dinajpur, PMO DS Ataul Gani in Meherpur, Land Minister’s Private Secretary Mohammad Jakir Hossain in Kurigram, Public Administration Ministry DS M Kazi Emdadul Islam in Sylhet.
In another order, deputy commissioner of Thakurgaon Md Akhtaruzzaman to RAJUK (Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha), while Chandpur DC Md Mazedur Rahman Khan to Jiban Bima Corporation, Dinajpur DC Dr Abu Nayeem Muhammad Abdus Sabur to RAJUK, Meherpur DC Mohammad Anwar Hossain to Payra Port Authority, Joypurhat DC Mohammad Hossain to Security Services Division, Gaibandha DC Goutam Kumar Paul to Medical Education and Family Welfare Division, Sylhet DC Numeri Jaman to LGD, Kurigram DC Sultana Parvin to Primary and Mass Education Ministry and Patuakhali DC Md Masumur Rahman to LGD.
Earlier on September 23, new DCs were appointed in Barguna, Pirojpur, Brahmanbaria, Tangail, Narail, Natore, Chuadanga, Magura, Satkhira and Bogura.
