13 JMB men charged with murder

A Rangpur court yesterday framed charges against 13 members of JMB in a case filed for the killing of Khadem Rahman Ali in Kaunia upazila of Rangpur on November 10, 2015.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Arman Hossain submitted a supplementary charge sheet, including the name of another JMB activist, to the court on last December 31 after reinvestigating the case as per court's previous order.

Eleven of the accused -- including Masud Rana, Ihsak Ali and Liton Mia -- were present at the court yesterday.

Bijoy, whose name was included in the supplementary charge sheet, was arrested in Bogra late last year. Two are absconding, said police.

A caretaker of a shrine, Rahamat Ali, 55, of Bade Moskur village, was hacked to death in Choita intersection area. The court yesterday fixed January 28 for the next hearing.
