2 held with 27 crude bombs in Lalbagh

Police detained two persons with 27 crude bombs and bomb-making materials from a house in Lalbagh area of Dhaka this afternoon.

The detainees were identified as Belal and Risalat, said Saizur Rahman, assistant commissioner (Lalbagh Zone) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a drive at a house in Shahidnagar area in Lalbagh and seized the crude bombs and bomb-making materials, the DMP official said.

They also detained the duo from the house, he added.
