21 Islami Chhatri Sangstha activists held in Dhaka

Police claim to have arrested 21 members of the Jamaat-e-Islami's female student front Islami Chhatri Sangstha in Dhaka this evening.

They were arrested from a flat in Dhania area of Kadamtoli around 7:00pm, Officer-in-Charge of Kadamtali Police Station MA Jalil told The Daily Star.

Police raided the flat upon information that they were meeting there to plot against the government, the OC said.

Police are now trying to find out the identities of the detained Chhatri Sangstha members, he added.
