27 held in anti-drug drive in Dhaka
Police today raided the Bihari camps in Mirpur of Dhaka and detained 27 persons in accusation of selling and taking drugs.
A team of police from Mirpur Division, Detective Branch (DB) and Public Order Management (POM) raided the Bihari camps from around 10:30am that continued until 1:00pm, Dadon Fakir, officer-in-charge of Pallabi Police Station, told The Daily Star.
The major camps they raided include Rahamat Camp, Irani, Millat, Muslim Camps and other places in the area, the OC said.
During the raids, police also recovered around 2110 yaba tablets, 6 kilogrammes of cannabis, 124 bottle of local liquor from the camps, the OC added.
