Detectives detained six people in connection with fake notes trading and one suspected robber last night in separate areas of Dhaka.

The Detective Branch of police also recovered equipment used for dismantling houses and 41 tolas of gold from the possession of the suspected robber detained in the Gendaria area, said Muntasirul Islam, deputy commissioner (media wing) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

The DB members conducted separate drives in the city last night and detained the seven.

Details of the drive could not be known. A press briefing will be held at 11:30 at Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Media Centre in this regard.
