Tahmima Anam’s latest trilogy book launched

Internationally acclaimed and award-winning author Tahmima Anam’s latest trilogy novel “The Bones of Grace” was launched amid appreciation and acclamation today.

Renowned academicians, litterateurs and critics praised her milestone and wished her the best at the launching ceremony organised at The Daily Star Centre this evening.

“The language [of the novel] is absolutely crafted. The power of the book lies in detail description,” said eminent academician Prof Syed Manzoorul Islam, while speaking as a panel discussant.

Tahmima’s two other novels are “A Golden Age” (2007) and “The Good Muslims” (2011).

During the launching ceremony, Tahmima briefly pointed out the connection between the novels and read out magnetic portion of the books for the audience at the launching ceremony.

Sharing a joyous moment, The Daily Star Editor and Publisher Mahfuz Anam, also father of Tahmima, said: “There is no better pleasure in life than to be outperformed by my own child.”

The 410-page novel, which depicts the dilemma of a Bangladeshi woman, is published by Daily Star Books. It costs Tk 750 and is available at Prothoma and Pathok Shomabesh in Dhaka and Batighar in Chittagong.
