Kabari assaulted, GD filed
Former Awami League lawmaker and actress Sarah Begum Kabari has been allegedly assaulted.
She filed a general diary with Gulshan Police Station complaining of verbal and physical abuse by some unidentified persons who forcibly entered her residence around 11:00am yesterday, Abu Bakkar Siddique, officer-in-charge of Gulshan Police Station told The Daily Star.
According to the general dairy, the owner of two apartments of a five-storey building on road no. 2 in Gulshan tried to enter the building along with five to six outsiders.
Intercepted by security guards, they tried to use force to enter.
Being informed, Kabari came down with her son to know what the purpose of the outsiders was. At one stage, the outsiders assaulted her and threatened to kill her, she alleged in the diary.
In the police diary, she mentioned that there is an injunction of the court barring any renovation of the building.
