AL to accord reception to PM

Awami League-led 14-party alliance will accord a grand reception to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also the party’s president, on her return home from India tomorrow.

“The prime minister had a successful visit to India. So, we will accord a grand reception to her on behalf of the party and the alliance tomorrow (Monday) evening,” said Mohammed Nasim, presidium member of the party today.

Party leaders and activists will welcome the premier at Hazrat Shahjajal International Airport at 7:50pm and will escort her to Gono Bhaban, the health and family welfare minister said while speaking as the chief guest at a roundtable on Child Health and Nutrition at a Dhaka hotel.

About the PM’s visit to India, the minister alleged that BNP leaders were blaming irrationally without knowing the facts of the treaties between the two countries.

He also said that the two governments have signed an agreement to set up a total of 36 community health clinics across Bangladesh.
