Bangabandhu and Bangladesh are not separate: IGP

One needs to know Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman first if he/she wants to know Bangladesh, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammad Javed Patwary today said.

Bangabandhu and Bangladesh are not separate, he said, adding that one needs to learn about his ideals and morals to know him and Bangladesh.

The IGP said this at a programme arranged at Bangladesh Police Liberation War Museum in Dhaka marking the 44th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu, a press release of Bangladesh Police says.

Bangabandhu said that police are for the people, the IGP told the police force at the programme, according to the release.

The police force is countering the plots against the people by staying beside them and will follow Bangabandhu’s instructions in maintaining the police force in future.
