Biman’s flight delays as co-pilot arrives late
A domestic flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines today was delayed to take-off for over an hour as the co-pilot of the flight arrived late at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, thanks to huge traffic gridlock in the capital.
The Jessore-bound flight from Dhaka left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 5:50pm due to late arrival of the official, said Motahar Hossain, general manager of flight operation (central control) in Biman.
The flight was, however, scheduled to take off at 4:30pm, he added.
Dhaka today witnessed huge traffic congestion in most of the roads and streets over the visit of the US Secretary of State John Kerry and demonstration of Willes Little Flower School students demanding arrest of the killer of their fellow Suraiya Akhter Risha.
