BSCIC GM ‘missing’ for 5 days
Md Shariful Islam Bhuiyan, the general manager of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC), has been “missing” for the last five days.
His wife Laila Jesmin lodged a general diary with Paltan Police Station on July 12.
Bhuiyan, 58, went out of his home without informing anyone on July 11 around 10:45am, his wife Laila Jesmin mentioned in the GD.
He left the house in his casual attire without any money or mobile phone with him, according to the diary.
Contacted, officer-in-charge of Paltan Police Station Mahmudul Haque said they are searching every possible place. All the police stations have been informed, the OC said.
The OC said Bhuiyan was suffering from depression after his daughter went to America.
About one and a half month ago, Bhuiyan left his home in the same manner and was later found at Barishal launch terminal by local police on the following day, he added.
