Building tilts in Lalbagh

A five-storey residential building tilted near Lalbagh Fort in Dhaka today.

The building leaned on adjacent another high-rise building after it titled in the area on Jagannath Shah Road around 2:00pm, creating panic among its residents and those of neighbouring buildings, Subash Kumar Paul, officer-in-charge (OC) of Lalbagh Police Station told The Daily Star.

On information, police and a unit of fire fighters rushed to the spot, the OC said, adding that the residents of the building have been asked to evacuate it immediately.

No casualty was reported in this regard.
