CNG auto-rickshaw strike in Dhaka Dec 27

A section of the CNG auto-rickshaw transport workers will go on strike on December 27 in Dhaka city to realise their eight-point demand.

Dhaka District CNG Auto-rickshaw and Mishuk Union’s Member Secretary Shakhawat Hossain Dulal today told The Daily Star that it will be a 48-hour strike.

Their prime demand is to replace the CNG auto-rickshaws which are more than 15 years old.

In continuation of their agitation, Dulal said auto-rickshaw workers will demonstrate near Jatiya Press Club on November 22, and on December 10, they will go for besieging the BRTA.
