DB now to probe Farhad Mazhar’s ‘abduction’ case
A case which was filed in connection with the alleged abduction of columnist and writer Farhad Mazhar was handed over to Detective Branch of police last night.

The Detective Branch of police will now investigate the case, Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner, media of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), told The Daily Star.
Mazhar, who allegedly went missing from Adabor in Dhaka earlier on Monday, was rescued from a bus in Jessore later in the day.
His wife Farida Akhter filed the case on Monday night with Adabor Police Station in Dhaka.
