CU suspends 6 BCL activists
The Chittagong University authorities have suspended six Bangladesh Chhatra League activists of the CU unit for different terms on different charges.
The decision came at a deciplinary committee meeting on Monday, Proctor Ali Asgar Chowdhury told a press conference yesterday.
Niaz Abedin Pathan, a student of physics, and Md Lokman Hossain of economics were suspended for six months for hacking the unit deputy publication secretary.
Md Abdullah Al Kaiser of journalism, Anowar Hossain of fine arts and Ahmed Ali of public administration were removed for two years for hacking the unit deputy sports secretary. Dipro Banik of fine arts was suspended for two years for beating BCL activist Roni Chandra Sarkar.
