DU staff protest ‘propaganda’ against VC

Dhaka University (DU) staff members today formed a human chain on the campus demanding an end to “propaganda” against Vice Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique.

Hundreds of staff under the banner of "Karigari Karmachari Samity" formed the one-hour long human chain at the foot of Aparajeyo Bangla at 11:00am.

The speakers at the event said Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique is an employee friendly Vice Chancellor and has facilitated many development works in the university.

As the university is being run smoothly by Arefin Siddique, a quarter started propaganda against him to make the situation unstable.

They demanded Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique be reelected as the VC.
