EC sees CCC polls as challenge for democratic journey
The newly formed Election Commission (EC) is considering the upcoming Comilla City Corporation (CCC) election as a challenge for democratic journey, the chief election commissioner (CEC) said today.
Hoping that the CCC election will be free, fair and impartial, the CEC said, “Any negligence of election officers will not be tolerated."
“We are only the supporters of law and justice. No parties will be able to keep them (election officers) away from performing their responsibilities,” said CEC KM Nurul Huda at a discussion with election officials at Cultural Academy auditorium in Comilla today.

He also urged all his colleagues to perform their best during the election, reports our local correspondent.
He also inaugurated a training session there for the presiding officers and assistant presiding officers who will conduct the election duties.
The CCC election will be held on March 30.
