Education minister gets death threat

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid received death threats via text message on his mobile phone from an unknown number last Wednesday.

“We shall kill you wherever we find you. We shall attack your sons, wife and daughter, and relatives. Life will be very difficult for you," read the text message sent to the education minister cell phone on Wednesday.

“You are corrupt and unkind. You have destroyed our young generation’s merit, power and intelligence by publishing (leaking) exam questions,” the message reads.

A general diary was filed with the Ramna Police Station in this connection on Thurday.
