Ex-Liberian footballer found dead in Dhaka

A Liberian, who formerly played football in Bangladesh, has been found dead in Dhaka’s Rampura.

Ballah Kysah, 34, was found lying on the couch at his rented flat last night. There were no injury marks, however, his legs were swollen, Proloy Kumar Saha, officer-in-charge of Rampura Police Station said.

The caretaker of the flat told police that he was suffering from heart and kidney complications for a long time. The body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College for autopsy around 1:00am.

Reason behind his death will be unveiled after autopsy, Sub-inspector (SI) Bacchu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s police outpost, told The Daily Star.

Ballah played football for various clubs including Chittagong Mohammedan in Bangladesh till 2007.
