Fire breaks out at Gazipur jail godown
A fire broke out at a godown inside Gazipur District Jail early today.
The fire originated from electric short circuit around 2:00am, reports our Gazipur correspondent quoting Tarek Aziz, an official of Gazipur DBL Fire Service.
On information, firefighters rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze after two hours, said the fire service official.
Some old stuffs including a number of televisions were gutted in the fire, said Subrata Kumar Bala, superintendent of Kashimpur jail (2).
The extent of the damage could not be ascertained immediately, he said.
No casualty was reported in the fire.
