Holey Artisan case probe report by July 26
A Dhaka court once again asked the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit to submit its probe report by July 26 in a case filed over the Holey Artisan Bakery attack in July 2016.
Metropolitan Magistrate Nurunnahar Yasmin passed the order after Humayun Kabir, a CTTC inspector and the investigation officer of the case, failed to submit any probe report yesterday.
This is the nineteenth extension the CTTC got for filing the report.
Earlier, CTTC arrested seven persons including a former private university teacher.
Among them, six suspected militants confessed to their involvement with the incident.
On July 1, 2016, gunmen stormed the Holey Artisan Bakery in the capital's Gulshan diplomatic zone, and killed 20 hostages, mostly foreign nationals.
Two police officials were also killed during the 12-hour hostage standoff.
